Journalists donate to pregnant women, orphans in Bauchi

Bauchi State Chapter of the Correspondents’ Chapel has distributed relief materials worth thousands of naira to pregnant women, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) at Urban Maternity Clinic Kofar Ran, in Bauchi metropolis.

The items which includes; Detergents, Soaps, Diapers, foodstuffs and drinks were presented to the beneficiaries by Chairman of the chapel, Aliyu Jibo.

Jibo said the kind gesture is initiated by the chapel to bring succour to women on admission at the hospital and OVC who he said need the assistance most in the society and then called on them to make judicious use of the items

The chairman commended the state government and the clinic management for their active role in catering for the orphans and patients.

Receiving the items, Deputy In-charge of the clinic, Hajiya Habiba Masta, applauded the chapel for its concern and putting smiles on the faces of the patients and the children.

She called on other organizations to emulate the Correspondent chapel by donating to the clinic to ease the hardship they are facing.
