TETFUND commended ATBU management on the new college of medical sciences

The Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFUND) Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro has expressed satisfaction with the structures,facilities and equipment put in place at the new College of Medical Sciences of  Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi state.

He gave the commendation on Monday shortly after he was conducted round the College structures and facilities by the Deputy Vice Chancellor  at the permanent side of the university Gubi campus.

The TETFund scribe said: he was in the school to assessed the level of work and the implementation of Tetfund projects by the university management.

According to him, with the adequate science learning facilities, conducive atmosphere and qualified lecturers put in place.
He is optimistic that the college if taken off will graduate quality and professional Doctors and other  human sciences graduates that will render qualitative services to humanity.

Professor Bogoro added that, TETFund is set to develop and implement appropriate policies and plans that will strengthen the health sector through the  educational institutions in order to deliver effective, affordable equitable, accessible and sustainable  study environment that will produce Health care professionals  that will meet the standard requirement for doctors as well as the  needs of the people.

He added that, TETfund  participated by providing the structures needed for the takeoff and accreditation of  the college.

He appealed to the National University Commission (NUC) to as a matter of urgency accredit the College institution to enable its  utilization  for the purpose it was intended.

“I started my career as graduate assistant from this same university and raised to the ranked of a professor.
“Today, I am with Tetfund and happy to see all these projects implemented with the support of my Tetfund where I worked at present” he said.
