Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the Social Mobilisation Technical Committee for UNICEF Assisted Programmes in Ekiti State, Mr. Sunday Aribatise, explained that the objective of the workshop was to develop Nutrition Briefs for Primary Healthcare workers.

According to him, the collaboration was also aimed at promoting exclusive breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding at all levels.

Mr. Aribatise added that the workshop would help to develop a work-plan for advocacy to various groups to promote nutrition briefs.

He said nutrition officers as well as Monitoring and Evaluation  officers from primary healthcare facilities in the six participating states would have been well equipped at the end of the workshop.

The workshop is coordinated by the Ekiti State Ministry of Information, Youth and Sports Development.
