Former members of the 2023 Health-Transition Committee (Kano Healthcare Forum) chaired by Dr Aminu Magashi Garba have endorsed “Kano First Agenda” of Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The 2026 Iftar gathering which took place on Friday 6th March 2026 at the AMG Foundation Building, which former members of the 2023 Health Transition Committee under the auspices of the Kano State Healthcare Forum, chaired by Dr Magashi for the third year.
Speaking at the 2026 Iftar gathering, the former members of the 2023 Health Transition Committee of the Kano Healthcare Forum, collectively reaffirmed their support for the “Kano First Agenda.”
Health Reporters Newspaper reports that the gathering provided an opportunity for reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to advancing policies and initiatives that strengthen the health sector and improve the wellbeing of the people of Kano State.
The members collectively endorsed and reaffirmed their support to the “Kano First Agenda” of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The gathering provided an opportunity for reflection, unity, and renewed commitment to advancing policies and initiatives that strengthen the health and humanitarian sectors and improve the wellbeing of the people of Kano State.
The gathering also agreed to mark the 2026 World Health Day in April to reflect the achievements of health and humanitarian sectors and empower 50 youth health graduates with essential drugs to enhance patent medicine store businesses and economic empowerment.
They also pledged an overwhelming support and solidarity to the idea of “Kano First Agenda,” and to work as a team to support implementation of the kano first agenda
The former members of the health-transition committee also reiterated their pledged to Governor Yusuf, aligning with his vision for the state’s development., emphasising unity and grassroots mobilisation to promote good governance.
Governor Yusuf has been working to advance “Kano First Agenda,” focusing on infrastructure, healthcare, and economic growth.
