President Buhari meets WTO D-G, Ngozi OKonjo-Iweala

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The WTO DG was received by the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

Okonjo-Iweala was accompanied by the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama and Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagum.

Also on the delegation are some officials of the World Trade Organisation.

The former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance arrive the country, Saturday on a five-day working visit, after assuming office as the head of the WTO on March 1, 2021.

Okonjo-Iweala, is expected to address the media after the meeting.

Dr Ngozi is visiting the country for the first time after the confirmation of her appointment.
