Dr Magashi leads Bauchi CoP members on immunisation advocacy to Deputy Governor

The Coordinator of the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN), has paid an advocacy visit to the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Muhammed Auwal Jatau, in his office on Thursday at the Bauchi Government House.

Coordinator of AHBN, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba led members of the Bauchi State Community of Practice (CoP) on Immunization Budget Tracking, Accountability and Sustainability during the advocacy visit.

He intimated the Deputy Governor that the visit is to advocate for more Routine Immunization funding in the state to aid the reduction of Zero Dose children and reach the missed communities.

In his response, the deputy governor, Aural Jatau disclosed that Bauchi State Government have paid and release its 100% 2024 routine immunisation counterpart funding to the tune of N410 million.

He further disclosed that N870 million was captured as the projected immunization budget for the year 2025.
