AMG Foundation Honours Kano frontline Health Workers

The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMGF) has honoured nine unsung frontline health workers in Kano State, for their outstanding performance in the discharge of their primary duty of serving humanity and saving lives. 

The awardees, who undergone a rigorous process of selection were drawn from Gwale, Gwarzo, Garun Malam, Kumbotso, Kano Municipal, Nassarawa, Rano, and Tudun Wada Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

Presenting the 3rd Dr Aminu Magashi Annual Award of Excellence for Frontline Health Workers 2024, to the nine winners, Chairman of the AMGF, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba commended them for their passion and commitments to achieving a healthy society and urged them to do more. 

Dr. Magashi called on all relevant stakeholders to encourage and motivate frontline health workers at the grassroots level to deliver effective and efficient services to society.

A statement by the AMG Foundation Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman, said the award is accompanied with a cash prize of N25,000 and transport fares for each of the awardees.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Hassan Musbahu, appreciated the AMG Foundation for the kind gesture, recognising and honouring them for their efforts, the awardees, through their representative, , thanked AMG Foundation and its leadership for the kind gesture.

The recipients are; Faisal Abdulhamid Dandalama, most committed volunteer from Mariri PHC in Kumbotso LGA, Zainab Abdullahi Shanono, most committed volunteer from Kabuga PHC in Gwale LGA, Danjuma Abdu, most dedicated staff from Burum Burum MPHC in Tudun Wada LGA, Aisha Shafi’u Gwarzo, most dedicated staff from Jama’a MPHC in Gwarzo LGA and Aisha Nuruddeen Aliyu, most patient friendly staff from Fatima Shehu Mai Mota Community Healthcare Hotoro in Nassarawa LGA.

Others are; Hassan Musbahu, most patient friendly staff from Tukuntawa model PHC in Kano Municipal LGA, Abubakar Abdullahi Bature, most safety compliance staff from Yama Health Post in Rano LGA, Aminu Usman Abdullahi, most hygienic staff from Yadakwari BHC in Garun Malam LGA and Fatima Auwal Muhammad, most hygienic staff from Sheka PHCin Kumbotso LGA
