The AMG Foundation has announced its readiness to finance the development of a book titled “Strategic Contribution of NGOs in the development of Kano State, in a significant move to document the impact of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Kano State.
The announcement was made by Chairman of the AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba during the World NGO Day Dinner held last Thursday in Kano.
This comprehensive publication will cover a 30-year journey, from 1995 to 2025, highlighting the vital role the NGOs have played in the state’s development,” he said.
The event was attended by esteemed guests, including the Commissioner of Power and Renewable Energy, Dr Gaddafi Sani Shehu, and Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on NGOs, Hon. Nasiru Isa Dikko (Jarma).
The book, which will be co-authored by numerous NGO leaders, including veterans and young people, aims to provide a detailed account of the strategic contributions made by NGOs in Kano state over the past three decades.
“This publication will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners, offering insights into the impact of NGOs on the state’s development trajectory,” Dr Magashi added.
The AMG Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting humanitarian services, economic empowerment, peace and security, educational growth, and innovative health interventions.
It has been at the forefront of promoting development initiatives in Kano State.
