The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG Foundation) has flagged off the distribution of food items to 100 vulnerable families at the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation premises.
Speaking while flagging the distribution of the food items, Chairman of the AMGF, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
He stated that the gesture will extend to 13 vulnerable and rehabilitation centers managed by the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) before the end of Ramadan.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Hajiya Amina Yusuf ‘Yar Gaya, and the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Alhaji Isyaku Kubarachi, commended Dr Magashi for supporting the less privileged in the society.
Health Reporters Newspaper reports that some of the beneficiaries expressed their happiness and thanked the founder and prayed to Allah to reward him abundantly.
The Director of Operations at the AMG Foundation, Malam Jalo Sulaiman, who disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen, said the food items distributed include rice, sugar and tea bag among others.
