AMG Foundation, Kano Healthcare Forum Donate Foodstuff, Drugs to Shahuci Old Peoples’ Home

The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) in collaboration with Kano State Healthcare Forum have visited the Shahuci Old People Home on Saturday, to support the residents’ health and wellbeing.

Health Reporters Newspaper reports that the Kano State Healthcare Forum, comprises of former members of the 2023 Gubernatorial Healthcare Transition Committee.

In a statement issued Saturday by the AMG Foundation’s Director of Operations, Malam Jalo Sulaiman, said during the visit, the forum donated bag of rice, beans, cooking oil and essential drugs.

“The donation aimed to complement the Kano state government’s efforts of ensuring healthy living for the residents,” he said.

Malam Jalo added that during the visit, the forum was accompanied by officials from the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA).

Others are; Office of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, and Office of the SSA to the Executive Governor on Support Groups.

This visit was the 4th of its kind to rehabilitation centres under SEMA by AMG Foundation.

Chairman of AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, highlighted previous donations by his foundation including mats, blankets and hygiene essentials to the Old People Home.

He stressed the importance of collaboration and proper use of the items.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Isyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi commended the gesture and urged others to emulate AMG Foundation.

On his part, the Chairman of AMG Foundation and Technical Adviser to the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Magashi, pledged to visit and support the 13 rehabilitation centres under SEMA.
