The Gwale Local Government Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the appointment of Dr Aminu Magashi Garba as Co-Chair of the Kano State Anti-Drug Abuse Task Force.
The statement issued Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer, Salim Muhammad Gali, under the leadership of Comrade Haruna Lawan Bala, described the appointment as well deserved, noting that Dr Magashi is a respected public health expert, development professional, and humanitarian.
Comrade Bala referenced Magashi’s over three decades dedicated to improving healthcare, public policy, community development, and social accountability in Nigeria.
According to the statement, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, is an outstanding son of Gwale LGA, whose achievements, leadership, and commitment to public service have brought honour and recognition to Gwale, Kano State, Nigeria, and the international community.
The NYCN Gwale Chapter noted that his appointment is not only a personal achievement, but also a source of pride for the entire people of Gwale Local Government Area.
The Chapter further expressed confidence that Dr Magashi’s wealth of knowledge, professional experience, and leadership qualities will contribute significantly to the success of the Task Force in addressing drug abuse and promoting safer, healthier communities across Kano State.
The NYCN Gwale Chapter also appreciated Governor Yusuf for recognising competence, integrity, and experience in making important public appointments.
The chapter described Governor Yusuf’s decision as a demonstration of his commitment to engaging qualified professionals in addressing critical challenges facing the state.
The PRO prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Dr Magashi wisdom, good health, strength, and success in the discharge of his new responsibility.
The statement further prayed for Governor Yusuf to continue leading Kano State with wisdom, peace, and greater progress for the benefit of all citizens.
