The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) has donated blankets, soaps and detergents to vulnerables at the Old People Home in Shahuci, Kwalli VVF Rehabilitation Center and Nassarawa Children’s Home.
The distribution of the items which was led by the Commissioner, Ministry of Women, Children and Disable, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani (HOD) alongside Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, Chair, AMG Foundation and Technical Adviser, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Director Administration and General Services and some directors of the Ministry of Women, Children and Disable took place on Friday.
No fewer than 150 blankets, 45 for both old People Home and VVF Kwalli and 40 for Nassarawa Children’s Home.
Also, 300 soaps and 150 rolls of sachet detergents worth N1.5 million were distributed to 150 vulnerables to keep them warm and clean during the harmattan period.
The AMG Foundation Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman, said the intervention is the first to be conducted by the AMG Foundation in the year 2025.
Speaking during the distribution, the Commissioner of Women, Children and Disable, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani (HOD) thanked the Chair of the AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba for providing the support, adding that it is timely and laudable.
Additionally, Dr. Magashi assessed the health challenges faced by the the persons in the three facilities and promised to do something to address them.
