AMG Foundation Donates Emergency Drugs, Consumables to Abdullahi Wase Hospital

The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG Foundation) has donated drugs and consumables worth N200,000 to the Accident and Emergency Department of Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital (MAWTH), Kano.

This was made known in a statement issued by Malam Jalo Sulaiman, Director of Operations at the AMG Foundation.

He said foundation made donation in collaboration with the Kano State Healthcare Forum, Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR), Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS), and Vulnerable People Support and Development Initiative (V-PeSDI).

The symbolic presentation of the donation was made on Thursday, November 6, by the AMG Foundation Chairman, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, to the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Hadiza Sa’idu Bala, at the Accident and Emergency Unit.

While presenting the donation, Dr Magashi emphasized the need for judicious utilisation of the donated items to cater to the needs of vulnerable patients, who are the intended beneficiaries of this kind gesture.

He also announced that his foundation will extend a similar gesture to at least two Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) near the hospital.

Receiving the donation, the CMD, Prof. Hadiza Bala expressed her gratitude to the AMG Foundation for the generous contribution aimed at enhancing healthcare service delivery in Kano State.
