AMG Foundation offers Technical Assistance to Special Adviser on NGO’s Office

The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation has announced a Technical Assistance to the office of the Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

In a statement by its Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman, the AMG Foundation, said it will identify a governance consultant to support the office for a 12 months period in operational and strategic plan development.

The consultant will also help the NGOs’ office organisational development, “such as having a functional database of NGOs working in the state, aimed at improving partnership and sustainable development.”

According to him, the commitment aims to enhance the office’s capacity to deliver its mandate effectively.

Jalo added that the offer of the technical assistance was announced last Wednesday, during a courtesy visit by the AMGF team to the Special Adviser on NGOs, Hon. Nasiru Isa Dikko (Jarma) in office.

The visit followed on an earlier pledge made in February by the Chairman of the AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba.

Dr Magashi had during a dinner last February, to commemorate World NGO Day, pledged to visit the office of the Special Adviser on NGOs, to discuss on areas to offer assistance, to ensure that it effectively serve the people of Kano State.

Responding, the Special Adviser on NGOs, Hon. Jarma expressed gratitude for the visit and thanked Dr. Magashi for the commitment to support his office.

He pledged to continue to use his office and give his best to ensure proper coordination of NGOs activities in the state, towards ensuring the betterment of lives of people of Kano State, inline of the goals of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s Administration.
