The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation said it had entered into partnership with the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), to deepen partnership to ensure development and prosperity.
Chair of the AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba who led a team to visit President of MAAUN, Prof. Mohammad Israr, said the aim of the partnership is to deepen discussions on a potential partnership for development and prosperity.
He added that the visit was a reciprocal gesture following an earlier visit paid to AMG Foundation office by the MAAUN President.
Health Reporters Newspaper reports that during the first meeting, collaboration opportunities between the two organisations were explored.
AGM Foundation’s Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman, said four key areas of collaboration discussed during the visit includes; “The partnership will provide an avenue for the establishment of relevant academic and professional courses related to community development, NGO’s role in sustainable development such as post graduate diplomas, master’s degree and certificate courses where senior AMGF leaders and associate will serve lecturers and presenters.

“The partnership will provide sustainable internship opportunities for MAAUN students to gain practical knowledge in international relations, NGO work, and community development interventions.
“AMG Foundation and MAAUN will jointly establish a Humanitarian Trust Fund, with both parties contributing funds to carry out community-level interventions in an effort to help vulnerable population,” he said.
Mr Jalo added that the partnership will lead to joint celebration of international days relevant to education and development through organising policy dialogue, seminars, workshops, lectures, walks, and visitations that can translate policies to recommendations for actions.
He revealed that a new date will be fixed for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), between the AMG Foundation and MAAUN to formalise the partnership.
