The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation has pledged to provide a one-year emergency intervention to support Accident and Emergency (A&E) and Emergency Paediatric units of the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, Kano.

This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by AMG Foundation’s Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman.

He said the commitment was made by Chairman of AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, when he led the foundations’s team on the courtesy visit to the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Professor Hadiza Sa’idu Bala.

He informed the CMD, that the AMG Foundation will provide consumables drugs worth N2.4 million over a 12-month period beginning from September 2025.

Dr Magashi added that the intervention is designed to complement the hospital’s existing “Emergency Tray” initiative, which provides timely access to emergency care for less privileged patients.

According to him, the AMG Foundation will procure consumables directly from the hospital’s Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) and donate them to the A&E and Emergency Paediatric units of the hospital.

Responding, Professor Hadiza commended the AMG Foundation for what she called a timely support.

She noted that the initiative will ease the burden on indigent patients and further strengthen emergency healthcare delivery in the hospital.
