The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) and Vulnerable People Support and Development Initiative (V-PeSDI) have announced a N1 million empowerment support for 100 vulnerable women and eople with disabilities (PWDs) in Kano State.
AMG Foundation, Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman in a statement said the annoucement was made during a joint meeting held on Friday.
He said the empowerment aims to support the ongoing small-scale businesses of vulnerable women and PWDs in order to strengthen their self-reliance.
“Beneficiaries of this initiative will be drawn from communities across the state with the assistance of other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the government,” Jalo said in the statement.
Health Reporters Newspaper reports that during the meeting, the Monthly Policy and Budget Roundtable, supportedby the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN) and AMG Foundation, was reviewed.
It was revealed tha a rotating role was assigned to the implementation partners; the Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR), YOSPIS, V-PeSDI, and WHDI commencing in December 2025.
He said, “This aims to strengthen ownership and institutional capacity. CHR has been assigned to coordinate the December 2025 monthly dialogue as part of activities celebrating its 25th Anniversary.”
