The Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (BASPHCDA) has assured its willingness to support the Bauchi State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal and Child Health (BaSAM), to be to part of the financial working group of the state Emergency Operation Centre (EOC).
Our correspondent report that BaSAM has solicited to be part of accountability and transparency of the EOC, whose activities centre on Routine Immunization in the state.
The Executive Chairman of BASPHCDA, Pharmacist Adamu Gamawa, gave the assurance when he received the delegation led by the advocacy chairperson, Hajiya Yagana Gidado in his office.
He said BaSAM, a coalition of Media and CSOs, can be part of the financial working group, adding that all the development partners are part of the financial working group.
Pharmacist Gamawa revealed that very soon they will make public the recent audited financial report of the EOC.
He noted that, this the first time the state is even having a basket fund for Routine Immunization which he said is as a result of the counterpart funding.
On timely release of fund, he lament that the situation is not only related to Bauchi alone, rather a national problem, but he added that they are doing their best to change that.
