CHR/PACFaH pledges support to Bauchi CSOs on ISS, budget advocacy

Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR), in collaboration with Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health (PACFaH), have pledged to support Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Bauchi state to carryout Integrated Support Supervision (ISS) of health facilities in the state.

The Project Manager, CHR-PACFaH, Ibrahim Ladan Wunti, stated this during the CSOs meeting under the auspices of Bauchi State Mechanism for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (BaSAM) monthly meeting held in Bauchi.

He explained that the programme was harmonized into one checklist known as, ISS for use by all partners which cut across all service areas like malaria; family planning, integrated management of childhood illness, MNCH, HIV/AIDs and Routine Immunization.

He further explained that the ISS list covers sanitary and environmental, infrastructural such as water supply, electricity, road accessibility, staff strength base on qualification and sex, drugs and medical consumables, as well as day to day record of service statistics in a facilities.

The CHR/PACFaH also expressed their readiness to support BaSAM in the area of health budget advocacy in preparation for the 2017 budget.
