Dr Magashi Hosts Winners of Health Innovations, KAMSA Executives to Dinner Meeting

The Chairman of AMG Foundation, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba has hosted the winners of the 2nd edition of Dr Aminu Magashi’s Annual Dabo Health Discourse, the immediate past and current executive members of Kano State Medical Students Association (KAMSA)  to a dinner meeting on Tuesday, February 17 at the AHBN Building in Kano.

A statement issued by AMG Foundation’s Director of Operations, Jalo Sulaiman, said the dinner meeting was convened by the AMG Foundation to celebrate the winners of the Health Discourse who pitched innovative healthcare ideas on 6th February this year.

During the meeting, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd winners and 4th and 5th runners were given 2 minutes each to present a summary of their ideas to CSOs leaders and other medical students.

Similarly, winners of the maiden edition of the competition were given a chance to share a progress report of their ideas.

Trophies were presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of the competition, while the 4th and 5th runners were presented with a certificate of participation.

The 1st position won N100,000, 2nd position won N75,000, 3rd position won N50,000, while 4th and 5th positions won N25,000 each.

In his remarks, Dr Magashi commended the students for presenting brilliant innovative healthcare ideas, adding that he has seen hopes for the state in solving healthcare challenges.

In their separate remarks, the immediate past and the current KAMSA Presidents, Karibullah Muhammad Minjibir and Isma’il Rimin Gado, expressed their gratitude to the AMG Foundation for the consistency in sponsoring of the competition and for the donation of drugs to support the KAMSA medical outreach.
