In what appeared to be a New Year gift to health sector His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar Esq has reappointed Pharmacist Adamu Ibrahim Gamawa as the Executive Chairman/CEO of Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BASPHCDA) with immediate effect. The appointment came at the eve of New Year on 31st December 2015.
Pharmacist Adamu Ibrahim Gamawa is a holder of B. Pharmacy & MSc Medicinal Chemistry and an indigene of Gamawa Local Government in Katagum Zone of the State.
Below were his previous responsibilities
- Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, August 2014- May 2015
- Managing Director, Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency, Bauchi, 2011 – August 2014
- Senior Special Assistant to Bauchi State Governor on Health Insurance, 2007-2011
- Staff in the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, 1995- 2007
He has traveled widely and received relevant international and local trainings relevant to public health as well as has good understanding of the health system in Bauchi State to hit the ground working.
