The Kano State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has presented an Award of Excellence on the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation, for its continuous support to security and community policing in Kano State.
The award was presented to the foundation by the Kano State Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ibn Umar during the launching of the PCRC 2024 Calendar and Awards presentation held at Police Officers Mess, Kano.
During the launch and award presentation ceremony, Barrister Maimuna Umar Sharifai, Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Community Policing, highlighted AMG Foundation’s pivotal role as a blessing to Kano state.
She said the foundation’s outreach has positively impacted numerous vulnerable groups, instilling hope through unwavering efforts dedicated to sustainable community development.
“I am pleased to present this award as a testament to AMG Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting security and community policing in the state,” she stated.
Barrister Maimuna Sharifai added that the AMG Foundation’s intervention with Kano’s repentant thugs has contributed to fostering a peaceful environment, effectively addressing security challenges faced by citizens.
While presenting the award, DCP Umar commended the Chairman of AMG Foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba for his consistent commitment to supporting community policing, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and promoting peaceful co-existence.
In response, Director of Operations at AMG Foundation, Jalo Sulaimna emphasised the foundation’s continuous support to the society.
He highlighted the foundation’s prompt interventions in areas such as health, education, and empowerment, all aimed at providing a platform for sustainable development within the state and the country at large.
The director of operations also assured of them of the AMG Foundation’s continues support towards improving security in the state.
