The Kano State Police Command said it had deployed 100 telephones lines to te Police Divisional Offices, Area Commands and other Tactical Units of the Kano Police Command, for intelligence and sharing of information by members oof the public.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Dauda, disclosed this after receiving 100 Mobile Phones with 100 Globacom Closed User Group (CUG) Sim Cards from the AMG Foundation.
He said the gadget received through the Chairman of the foundation, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, would be distributed to all the 78 Police Divisions, 11 Area Commands and other Tactical Units of the Command for intelligence sharing and for the public to report incidences and information to the police easily.
During the presentation, Dr Magashi revealed that the foundation is committed to pay the monthly minimum CUG recharge cards for the 100 Globacom Sim Cards for the next 12 months.
