The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Muyi Aina on Monday chaired the inaugural Ministerial Reproductive Maternal Newborn Adolescent Child Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) SWAp TWG meeting, that will provide technical oversight function, expertise, guidance and coordination.
Health Reporters gathered that the ministry of health and the NPHCDA would work with other RMNCAEH sub-groups.
The committee has Dr Muyi Aina, Executive Director of NPHCDA and Chair; Dr Binyerem Ukaire, Director, Family Health Department (Co- Chair); Dr Eudardo Celades from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) also as Co-Chair.
Other members are; Bako Ladiaiyegbusi, Director Nutriton Department, Lawrence Anyanwu, Head of Reproductive Health (RH), Dr Oluseyi Omokore, Head of Child Health, Professor Hadiza Galadanci, Professor Oladpo Shittu, Child Health and Dr Joy Ufere (WHO).
Others are; Dr Obinna Orijingene (USAID), Dr Umma Yar’adua (WB/GFF); Dr Jennifer Boateng (BMGF); Dr Micheal Olawuyi (CIFF); Dr Anthony Ayeke (EU); Dr Joachim Chijide (UNFPA); Dr Susan Tsegaye (STBF) and FCDO.
The physical and virtual inaugural meeting of the ministerial RMNCAH SWAp TWG concluded with defined Term of Reference (TOR) and key next steps.
