The Kano State Police Command on Tuesday commended the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) for supporting various police divisional offices and area commands in the state.
Area Commander of the Nigeria Police, Panshekara Kano, ACP Bello Hamisu Wudil, stated this during a familiarization tour to some Area Commands by the Commissioner of Police, Lawal Abubakar Daura.
The AMG Foundation was part of the familiarization tour undertaken by CP Daura to the Panshekara and Tarauni Police Area Commands, in order to strengthen Community Policing Initiative in the state.
In his speech at the occasion, ACP Wudil, acknowledged the support of the AMG Foundation to community policing in Kano State for the past six months.
He said the AMG Foundation has for the past six months supporting eight divisional and police area commands in the state with sustainable monthly logistics, in order to purchase fuel for their patrol vehicles.
The benefiting divisional and area commands are; Dorayi Babba Divisional Police Command, Gwale Divisional Police Command, Panshekara Police Area Command as well as Panshekara Divisional Police Command.
Others are; Rijiyar Zaki Divisional Police Command, Anti-Daba Special Police Unit, Mandawari Divisional Police Command and State Constabulary Police Commandant Office.
