A Gynecologist consultant, Dr. Halima Musa Mukaddas was on Monday sworn-in as the Commissioner, Bauchi State Ministry of Health.
The Commissioner took the oath of office amidst fifteen other ministries sworn-in commissioners and five special advisers
This re-emphasizes the commitment of the Bauchi state government towards providing qualitative and affordable health care services in the state has.
Before her appointment, she was working with the National Obsteric and fistula Centre in Ningi local government area of Bauchi state.
Those sworn-in as commissioners are: Education Engineer – Nuhu Gidado, Finance and Economic Development –Alhaji Nasiruddeen Muhammed, Works, Land and Housing – Alhaji Ali Abubakar Tatari , Religious Affairs and Community Development – Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed Idrees, Local Governments Affairs – Alhaji Samaila Muhammed Isa, Justice – Barrister Ibrahim Yakubu Umar and the State Planning Commission – Alhaji Shehu Barau Ningi, Women Affairs and Child Development – Hajiya Asabe Hamma Muhammed.
Others are; Agriculture and Natural Resources – Alhaji Yusuf Yakubu Mahmoud, Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives – Alhaji Abubakar Gazali, Water Resources – Alhaji Muhammed Gali Abdulhameed, Mines, Power, Energy and Environment – Dr Audu Gani Bogoro, Information, Culture and Tourism – Alhaji Baba Madugu, Social Welfare, Youths and Sports – Pharmacist Ibrahim Madaki, Rural and Community Development – Alhaji Garba Sarki Akuyam.
The Special Advisers are Media and Communications – Alhaji Yakubu Ibn Muhammed, Special Duties – Engineer Habu Mamman, Security – Brigadier General Ladan Yusuf (Rtd), General Services – Air Commodore Tijjani Ahmed Baba Gamawa (Rtd) and Due Process – Alhaji Surajo Dada.
