Kano commends CHR/PACFaH’s support to local NGOs

Kano State Government has commended Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR) for supporting local based NGOs operating in the state and development of budget scorecards which are used as evidence based materials for advocacy.

The commendation was made by the Special Adviser to the state governor on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), Dr. Abdulhadi Chula. Dr. Chula’s commendation came when he joined members of Accountability
Mechanism for Maternal Newborn and Child Health in Kano State (AMMKaS) in its monthly meeting in Kano.

The coalition comprises of Civil Society Organizations and Media and supported by the Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR) in collaboration with Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health (PACFaH).

The SA to the governor said he was amazed at the efforts the coalition is making with advocacy to state policy makers for improved routine immunization financing as well as program implementation.

He added that the PACFaH innovation carrying other NGOs along, to achieve one goal is commendable.
