Abba Kabir Yusuf Health Policies Promotion (AKYHPOP) has launched a new Radio Programme titled, ‘Jakadan Lafiya,’ to promote Health Policies of Kano State Government.
The new radio programme sponsored by the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMGF) aimed at promoting health policies of Kano State under the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.
The programme is an initiative of the AKYHPOP, and is designed to discuss and enlighten the public on the various health sector reforms and policies being implemented by Governor Yusuf.
According to the group, the programme will focus on how the administration’s interventions are enhancing public healthcare delivery and improving the wellbeing of Kano residents.
The programme will be aired on Guarantee FM Radio, Kano and is scheduled to air every Thursday by 2:00 pm.
In a statement announcing the launch, the Public Relations Officer of AKYHPOP, Muntari Tijjani Isah, said the programme will serve as a platform to bridge the gap between government and the people on health matters.
AKYHPOP is an association focused on promoting public awareness of healthcare policies and programmes, educating citizens on preventive healthcare and healthy living, and encouraging greater community participation in immunisation, maternal and child health, disease prevention and environmental sanitation.
The association serves as a non-partisan advocacy platform for healthcare development, public enlightenment and policies that promote the welfare of the people of Kano State.
Health Reporters Newspaper reports that the AKYHPOP had in September conferred Grand Patron of the association on the Chairman of AMGF, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, in recognition of his contributions to healthcare advocacy and development.
