AMG Foundation announces N655,000 support to Badawa Police Division

The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) has announced a support of N655,000 to the Badawa Police Division, to sustain support to the Division’s Surveillance operations in Kano State.

The foundation said the support has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening community policing in the state.

Health Reporters Newspaper reports that the support was announced on Saturday, during a reception organised by the Badawa Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) to welcome the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Saifullahi Bello, and to honour the outgoing DPO, CSP Muhammad Yakubu.

Speaking at the event, the Director of Operations of the foundation, Malam Jalo Sulaiman, said the AMG Foundation has approved the total support package of N655,000 for the Badawa Police Division.

According to him, N100,000 from the amount will be used to support the repair of the division’s grounded Hilux vehicle, while the remaining funds will be spread over 12 months to provide 35 litres of fuel monthly for the surveillance vehicle.

Malam Jalo noted that the AMG Foundation has been consistently supporting the fuelling of the Badawa Division’s surveillance vehicle for the past two years as part of its commitment to enhancing community policing and improving the security of lives and property.

He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at complementing security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and safety within the community.

The Badawa PCRC commended the foundation for its sustained contributions and long-standing partnership with the police division, describing it as a vital support to effective policing in the area.
