FG assigns Desk Officer for President’s School Debate Programme

The Federal Government has nominated Mr Simon T. Tyungu as Desk Officer on the National Advisory Board of the President’s Schools Debate, Nigeria.

The nomination was contained in a letter from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume and addressed to the Chairman of the National Advisory Board, President’s School Debate, Hon. Mohammed Usman.

“I am directed to convey the approval of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) in nominating Mr Simon T. Tyungu (Director, SGF’s Main Office) as the Desk Officer representing the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on the National Advisory Board of the President’s Schools Debate, Nigeria.

The letter signed by the Mr Mashegu Aliyu Suleiman, PAO to the SGF, said the desk officer would continue in the organising of President’s Schools Debate among Basic and Senior Secondary Schools across the country.

The SGF added that by the nomination, Mr Tyungu is expected to interface with Hon. Usman, Chairman of the National Advisory Board and the Federal Ministry of Education on matters relating to the President’s Schools Debate Championship.

“On behalf of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, kindiy accord him all the necessary cooperation towards the discharge of his duties on the Board.

“While wishing our contingents success in all subsequent outings, please,

accept as always, the warm regards of the Secretary to the Government of the

Federation,” the letter added.
