A member representing Ganjuwa East at the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sale Umar Nabayi has donated drugs and hospital equipments worth 2.5 million naira to Primary Health Centre in his constituency.
Speaking while handing over the equipments at Nabayi town of Ganjuwa Local government area of the state, the lawmaker said equipping the PHC in Nabayi is in the first phase of the distribution exercise, while other PHCs in the constituency will also benefit.
The lawmaker, said his main focus is to reduce the high rate of maternal mortality by equipping the hospital and Primary Health Centers with basic tools and drugs.
He therefore called on the management of the health centre to judicious utilize the equipment provided in the interest of the communities.
Receiving the materials on behalf of the hospital, Abubakar Othman, expressed gratitude with the gesture and assured the Lawmaker that the equipment will further boost the services of the hospital.
Health Reporters correspondent reports that some of the items distributed include delivery beds; Blood pressure apparatus, mattresses and pillows, drugs and mosquito nets among others.
