The Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KDSPHCDA), has pledged to partner with Health 4 All Media Initiative (HAMI), an NGO, in improving health care delivery system in the state.

Newsmen report that HAMI, is a group of media practitioners advocating for improved healthcare delivery in Nigeria, in furtherance of Nigeria attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs).

Addressing a team from HAMI, who were at the agency for a familiarization visit, Deputy Director, Primary Health Care, Hamza Ikara, said the agency is ready to work with the group in her efforts at ensuring that Kaduna citizens continue to enjoy improved healthcare services.

“The media has been very supportive to this agency, most of the successes we have recorded were driven by the media, and we are ready to work with HAMI, to advance our success in the state.

“What I want your group to do is; write an official letter to the agency so you can be documented as one of our partners. We will then share our working calendar with you to begin to plan possible areas of partnership,” he said.

Earlier in his remarks, Alex Uangbaoje, who represented the chairperson of the group, Jacquelyn Adebija, said they were at the agency to familiarize themselves with their activities and how they can work with the agency.

He explained that HAMI, as a group is working closely with government agencies and Civil Society Organizations working around health issues in Nigeria.

According to Alex, part of the objective of HAMI is to provide support for government and her agencies in improving the health of the citizens.

“Very soon, we shall be coming back with our support plan for your agency and we are optimistic that you will give us the opportunity to contribute our quota as a group.”
